August ARTalk - Art in Politics
Open Drawing Session & Open Forum Discussion with Joel Pett
Thursday, August 7, 7 pm

Join us every second Thursday of each month for a dynamic discussion at LAL @ Loudoun House. In August, Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist Joel Pett of the Herald-Leader will engage the public in a discussion of the role of art in politics. Come willing to share your thoughts on political cartooning and the role of controversy in art, and be sure to bring paper and a drawing utensil. The second part to this particular ARTalk will take the form of an Open Drawing Session, minus the live model, with suggestions offered by Joel Pett himself. Be prepared to make a statement, either with your pen or with your words.

RSVP to Julia Curiel at 859.254.7024 or jcuriel@lexingtonartleague.org
